Uses The PowerPoint 97 Viewer
|
|
CD Start-It comes packaged with the PowerPoint 97 viewer. This viewer is distributed by Microsoft. The PowerPoint viewer allows computers that do not have Microsoft PowerPoint installed to still view and run your PowerPoint presentations. In 2003, Microsoft released an update to their viewer. The difference is that the 2003 viewer supports all of the advanced animations and transitions available in later versions of PowerPoint, while the 97 viewer only supports a subset of these advanced animations. More importantly though, and the reason that CD Start-It uses the 97 viewer, is that the 2003 viewer requires your users to click and agree to a license agreement before running your presentation. The 97 viewer does not include the license agreement window. For this reason, we feel the 97 viewer provides a more professional feel for your CD, and have thus bundled the 97 viewer rather than the 2003 viewer. However, we do recognize that some users will prefer to still use the 2003 viewer. If you would like to use the 2003 viewer instead, you may substitute it for the 97 viewer by following the instructions in our section on Substituting in the PowerPoint 2003 Viewer. |
