If you would like to use the PowerPoint 2003 viewer instead of the default PowerPoint 97 viewer that CD Start-It bundles with your Auto Start Files, the following will describe how you can substitute the newer viewer into your CD. After properly configuring your CD to start your .ppt file, and building your Auto Start Files, you will notice that within your Auto Start files folder, there exists a "PowerPoint Viewer" folder:
Inside the PowerPoint Viewer folder you will find the PowerPoint 97 files. Delete these, and copy in the PowerPoint 2003 files. To get the PowerPoint 2003 Viewer files, please see the section of this Manual on Gathering the PowerPoint 2003 Viewer Files. After you have the files, copy them into the (now empty) PowerPoint Viewer folder in your CD Start-It Auto Start Files folder (pictured above). Next, rename pptview.exe to ppview32.exe. If you have followed the above steps correctly, your final PowerPoint Viewer directory will look like:
That's it! Burn your Auto Start Files to the root directory of your CD-ROM and you will be up and running with the 2003 viewer instead of the default 97 viewer we chose to bundle with CD Start-It. |
