throughout this manual. Auto Start- Also commonly knows as "auto play" or "auto run", this term defines a CD-ROM property whereby systems that support and which are actively enabled to handle CDs with auto starting functionality, will automatically invoke specific features from CD-ROMs when they are inserted into the CD-ROM drive. CD Start-It works by allowing users to specify custom Auto Start settings, which can then be burned to CD-R or CD-RW. Systems which have their "Auto Play" setting enabled will then automatically view the custom settings produced with CD Start-It for that CD. Repository - Also referred to as the "Repository Directory" or "repo" for short. A CD Start-It Pro Repository is a local folder on your computer that holds all of the files that should be burned to your final CD. You can add/import files to this directory while using CD Start-It Pro. When you are ready to burn your CD, all files from the Repository directory should be burned to the root directory of your CD-R or CD-RW. Root Directory- When referring to the Root Directory of a CD, this term means "in the main directory", and not in any sub folders. For example, if the CD-ROM is drive "e:/" on a computer and one were to burn the file "test.txt" to their CD-ROM such that the file would be found at "e:/test.txt", then text.txt would be said to lie in the Root Directory of the CD-ROM (i.e. it is not in any folders on the CD-ROM, but in the top-level directory). |
