| The Start File is
the most powerful and widely used feature of CD Start-It. It is also where
CD Start-It gets its name from. This feature allows one to burn web sites,
Microsoft™ PowerPoint™ files or any other files to CD and have
them start automatically when the CD is inserted into the CD-ROM drive.
Setting up your Start Files From within CD Start-It, click on the Setup Start Files button shown below:
This will open a dialog that allows you to setup your Start Files.
To start a file automatically when your presentation is run, highlight the file in the Repository window on the right side, and push the <- Start at Run Time button. You will see the file name appear in the left window, indicating that this file will start automatically when the CD presentation loads.
You can start more than one file by highlighting an additional file and pushing the <- Start at Run Time button again to move it to the left-hand side. There is no limit to how many files you can Auto Start. The files will be run in the order they are listed in the box on the left-hand side from top to bottom. To adjust the order of the Start Files, highlight a file in the left-hand box and use the Move Up or Move Down buttons to adjust the order accordingly. If you want to remove a Start File (i.e. you do not want it to start at run time), you can highlight the file in the left-hand box and push the Do Not Start -> button to remove it from the Start Files--the file will still remain in your repository though. When you are done, you can push the Save button to save your settings and go back to the main CD Start-It window, or Cancel to go back to the main CD Start-It window without saving your Start File setup. |
